Transmission Tower Manufacturer & Supplier in China

China Summit Iron Tower Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a steel tower factory in Hengshui, Hebei, China, established in 1994. We fabricate lattice transmission towers and tubular steel poles for overhead power transmission lines, working directly from customer drawings for EPC contractors, utilities and tower trading companies.
Lattice Tower Types We Manufacture
The tower type determines the loading case, the number of tower variants in a line and, ultimately, the tonnage. We produce the full set of standard lattice tower functions used on an overhead line:
| Tower function | Typical position in the line | Design note |
|---|---|---|
| Suspension tower | Straight sections between angle points | Lowest tonnage per tower; holds conductors vertically |
| Tension tower | Section ends and every few kilometres | Higher loads — full conductor tension on both sides |
| Angle tower | Where the line changes direction | Transverse loading from the line angle |
| Terminal / gantry tower | Substation connections | Heaviest loading; often one-sided tension |
| Transposition tower | Conductor phase rotation points | Keeps unbalance within limits over long lines |
Members are connected with galvanized bolts and every member is coded to the erection drawing, so towers arrive ready to identify and assemble on site.

Steel Poles & Tubular Mono-Poles
Where land is tight, where the line passes through urban or scenic areas, or where a narrower right-of-way is required, tubular steel poles are often chosen instead of lattice towers. We produce poles for 10–220 kV with flange or socket connections and single to four circuits, and the fit-up follows the same drawing-driven process as our lattice work.

Specification Range & Materials
| Parameter | Typical range we fabricate |
|---|---|
| Voltage class | 10 kV, 33 kV, 66 kV, 110 kV, 132 kV, 220 kV, 330 kV, 400 kV, 500 kV |
| Tower types | Suspension, tension / dead-end, angle, terminal, transposition |
| Connection form | Bolted lattice; tubular poles with flange or socket joints |
| Structural steel | Q235B, Q355B — equivalents: ASTM A36, ASTM A572 Gr.50, S235JR, S355JR |
| Surface protection | Hot-dip galvanizing, coating class agreed per project (ASTM A123 / ISO 1461 referenced) |
| Fasteners | Galvanized bolts grade 4.8 / 6.8 / 8.8 as designed |
| Design basis | Customer drawings or line design data (span, conductor, wind, ice, seismic) |
| Packing | Coded set packing per tower, container-optimised bundling |
Quality Control & Documentation
- Incoming steel — mill test certificates retained and matched to the production batch.
- Fabrication — holes punched or drilled to drawing dimensions so parts assemble without reaming on site; welded assemblies use qualified welding procedures and are inspected before galvanizing.
- Galvanizing — coating thickness checks and records available with shipment.
- Marking & packing — every member coded to the erection drawing, packed as a tower set with its bolts.
- Company certification — ISO 9001 quality management, ISO 14001 environmental management, occupational health & safety certification, steel structure qualification and power / telecom production licences.

Why EPC Contractors Source Towers Directly From Us
- Factory-direct pricing — no intermediary margin between the workshop and your project.
- Capacity to schedule — 3 workshops covering 28,000 m² on a 67,000 m² site, 96 sets of production equipment and a registered capital of CNY 101 million.
- Engineering depth — 108 engineers and technicians among 265 employees, so drawing queries are answered by the people who build the towers.
- Export experience — towers supplied across more than 30 provinces in China and exported to Southeast Asia and Africa, with documentation prepared for the destination market.
Frequently Asked Questions
What voltage classes can you manufacture?
Lattice towers from 10 kV to 500 kV, and tubular steel poles for 10–220 kV. Suspension, tension, angle, terminal and transposition towers are all produced from customer drawings.
Can you quote from our own drawings?
Yes — send the tower schedule and drawings, or a line design summary (voltage, span, conductor type, wind and ice loads). We will return a priced tower list, bolt quantities and packing plan.
Which standard is the galvanizing done to?
Hot-dip galvanizing is applied to all carbon steel parts and the coating class is agreed against your specification. ASTM A123 and ISO 1461 are the standards most often referenced by our export customers.
Do you supply bolts and accessories with the towers?
Yes. Bolts are packed by tower set, and we can also quote step bolts, climbing ladders, warning signs, aviation markers and earthing materials as part of the same order.
How is the tower packed for sea freight?
Each tower is bundled as a coded set sized to container dimensions, with its bolts. This lets the erection crew open one bundle per tower position instead of sorting loose members on site.
What terms and documentation do you ship on?
FOB, CFR or CIF from major Chinese ports. Documentation includes commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, mill test certificates and galvanizing records.
